From baklava to brekky burgers: Montano's Patisserie mixes sweet and savoury
If you’re taking a stroll down Mountain Highway in Bayswater any day of the week, it’s likely Montano’s Patisserie will be bustling with activity.

The Eastern Melburnian visited Montano’s Patisserie recently to check out what it on offer.
Launched by husband and wife Nick and Helen Montano, who you will often see baking the next batches out the back, the patisserie and cafe offers a wide range of sweet treats and savoury bites - from baklava and ice cream to focaccias and brekky burgers.
We grabbed a vanilla slice and a small long black for $14. The vanilla slice was rich in flavour with a sweet icing on the top.
Function spaces for up to 60 people and catering options for parties are also available.
