Indian delights with an Australian twist: Chai Garden Balwyn

If you are looking for Indian food with an Australian twist, it’s worth considering Chai Garden.

On the shopping strip in Balwyn North, this restaurant is often buzzing with locals.

Upon entering you’re met by a cosy interior, filled with indoor plants. Out the back is a leafy garden area, ideal for sunny days sipping masala chai.

I ordered the Bombay sandwich, which was the perfect mix of Indian and Australian flavours.

We also had flaky Paratha, heartwarming balls of curry and crispy dahi puri.
